Though SS-LH is a heavily paved and densely populated environment, we value our green spaces. Our neighborhood is home to vital and thriving community gardens and parks where residents gather to celebrate, grow, and learn in hands-on art workshops. Interested in volunteering in the gardens? Overlook Gardens
On 17th Street from 2nd Avenue to Stevens Avenue, you’ll find Overlook Gardens. Soak in the beauty of this native habitat garden, home to birds, bees and butterflies, overlooking the Minneapolis skyline.
Stevens Square Park
Stevens Square Park sits in the heart of SS-LH and is well loved by local residents. Stevens Square Park is home to Red Hot Art, and contains a playground, as well as plenty of space for picnics or community gatherings and celebrations.
