About Save the Boards

My name is Kenda Zellner-Smith and I have been apart of the south side community my entire life. Our city and community are in the process of mourning yet another black life senselessly stolen at the hands of police. We have been using this art in our community to heal and honor the life that was taken. As a black woman, and community member, my hope is that this art be donated to the black community for further handling, long term preservation, and to support those on the frontlines in need. I do not want to see art sold, or auctioned off. Black pain, trauma, and healing should not be profitable for anyone in any capacity.
