Earth Day & Garden Tour

Celebrate Earth Day 2023 with neighbors on Saturday, April 22!

We'll be gathering from noon to 2 p.m. for free food, crafts, speakers on local gardening and upcoming lighting project, as well as a garden tour.

This event is hosted by the Stevens Square Neighborhood Organization and takes place at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Avenue, in the Jackman Room (lower level). All neighbors welcomeโ€ฆshare the event on Facebook here.

๐ŸŒŽ Our two speakers are Joe Laurin of City of Minneapolis public works (See lighting project information here) and Robert Skafte, greening coordinator for Stevens Square Community Organization.

๐ŸŒŽ Enjoy a kit for planting your own plants at home in recycled and found materials

๐ŸŒŽ If weather permits, there will be a tour of the Overlook Garden on 17th and Stevens and an opportunity to pick up litter in the garden after this big melt.

This event is one of SSCO's quarterly meetings. There may be an opportunity to vote on new board members as well. We are looking for a secretary and treasurer, as well as one at-large board member. Learn more about board service here.
